Charity collaboration of hotels in Dunakeszi – the help brought 1 million forints

The first joint action of the hotels took place on September 8, 2020, based on the call of the recently established collaboration between MSZÉSZ CSR section and HotelHero. With supporting the Veni Vidi Vici Foundation, the cleaning after the renovation of „Krisztus Király Római Katolikus” School of Dunakeszi was performed by 40 volunteers from the Danubius chain, the Queen Elizabeth Hotel (Accent), the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, the Mamaison Hotel, the Marriott hotels, the Mystery Hotel, the Royal Club Hotel in Visegrád, the Hotel Sopron and the Everguest, as well as Marlyin Beatrix joined. The enthusiastic team was greeted by the School Director, Ágnes Telek Deézsiné and the Economic Manager, Mária Slekta. The School Director said that the constructor offered that if they did not have to do the cleaning after the renovation, they would buy a cleaning machine for the school, which would cost one million forints in exchange, which means that the support of the hotels would be such a value for them.

On August 10, 2020, the CSR section of the Association of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants was established. The charity initiative of the founding hotels is the HotelHero collaboration, which aims to publicize their support activities and demonstrate through joint actions that, although one of the biggest victims of the pandemic is tourism, including the hotel industry, social responsibility is important in this situation for the industry.

Veni Vidi Vici Foundation

A school group has been set up for children with multiple disabilities at the Christ the Roman Roman Catholic School in Dunakeszi, where otherwise healthy children study – giving disabled children the opportunity to learn among healthy children, where they are more stimulated, not isolated, which greatly helps their development and at the meantime school can thus guide healthy children towards acceptance and sensitization.
